Seth Deutsch
Whether it is in the boardroom or the locker room, Seth Deutsch is passionate about coaching — and leading his teams to a win. He is a growth leader, operating partner, board member and CEO with a track record of delivering profitable growth for private equity-backed family-owned and public companies. Seth founded Samson Partners Group to help other founders and CEOs achieve their goals, and he’s incredibly fortunate to be in service to tremendous leaders.
Matt Schachman
Matt Schachman combines military discipline with deep private-equity experience. A former U.S. Army infantry officer and West Point graduate with an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, he has built and scaled businesses, co-founded Cold Bore Capital, and founded Chamberlain Advisors. At Samson Partners Capital, Matt brings a focused, operations-driven approach to value creation and founder partnership.
Gary Baughman
Gary has enjoyed a career in the engineering, construction, operations, and environmental services industry for the better part of 40 years. With roles in finance, sales, marketing, operations, and executive management. Currently Gary serves as Operating Partner for Crescendo Capital Partners and Executive Director for Watermill Group, both of whom are independent private equity firms investing in the lower middle-market.
Ed Cettina
Ed has spent 34 years in the commercial design and construction industry, holding various positions including Global Chief Operating Officer of AECOM’s Building construction business. His current roles include Chairman of the Board of Roofed Right America (commercial roofing), a board director for a confidential residential roofing platform and as an advisor to several privately held businesses in the design and construction industry.
Jordan McMillian
Jordan McMillian joined Samson with a reputation for results-driven executive leadership across professional services organizations. She specializes in operational excellence, transformational initiatives and “back-to-basics” business discipline. Jordan frequently serves as COO for professional services companies across North America, most recently in legal services and construction, partnering with leadership teams to drive performance and execution.
Ramzi Nassar
Ramzi Nassar is a seasoned investment banking executive with more than 20 years of experience advising energy and industrial companies on mergers and acquisitions, strategic financings, joint ventures and restructurings. He is known for his deep sector expertise, transaction leadership and ability to guide management teams through complex, high-stakes decisions across commodity cycles and evolving energy markets.
Samson
Samson – Sammy to his friends – was a sweet King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. The biblical Samson was a legendary warrior and judge who had superhuman strength, and he used the jawbone of an ass to slay thousands of adversaries. Samson Partners Group’s Sammy is similarly powerful and just. He has the might of a giant and the heart of a cavalier. On his cape he wears the crest of the two jawbones, signifying that we go to war with you, in partnership. Yeah, we know we’re a little different, but we like it that way.
